Terms and Conditions – Aerial Filming and Photography using Drones
CAA Law: Each commercial drone flight is governed by the laws set by the Civil Aviation Authority. We adhere to the rules as laid down for every flight, this to ensure the safety of public and people who are connected with a drone flight
Permitted Limits: We will not under any circumstances fly above 400ft from the closest point of the earths surface or outside of a 500m radius of a drone pilot unless authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority
Weather: Weather is beyond our control, sudden changes in weather can happen. To give options at the planning stage it is prudent for a client to choose two separate dates several days apart to give an alternative to get a favourable weather window for a drone flight
Understanding that schedules change with the UK weather, we have a fully flexible approach and monitor weather five days in advance of any shoot. If the weather expected for a flight day means that we can not fly then we will discuss this with you 48hrs prior to a shoot. If a drone flight is not able to go ahead due to inclement weather conditions then we will keep a client updated if there are any doubt as to whether our drones can fly or not on a planned shoot day
A rescheduled suitable date will be offered at no extra cost. Weather can markedly affect if a drone can be flown or not. We are flexible to fit around weather and conditions where feasible and offer alternative dates for a shoot day
Flight Decision: If at any time the pilot in command feels that the drone flight will be unsafe or risk injury to people or property, or where the demands of a client are unreasonable then the drone flight will not go ahead, the reasonings will be given at the time. Our aim is to help you achieve your goal in a safe way
Flight Planning: Pre flight planning is essential to gather all the information that is needed in order to prepare for a shoot or project and work out the amount of drone flying required on any particular day. Filming from multiple or challenging locations need additional resources and support. We can not guarantee we will have enough charged batteries if an extended flight time is needed. Where planned in beforehand we are able to bring on site charging for our batteries
Site Survey: We can often do an initial off site assessment to see if a shoot is feasible before any site visit and there may be flight restrictions or permissions needed alongside a risk assessment of the site. For all of our drone operations we need to comply with CAA regulations and this may require complete a pre flight survey which may involve a site visit
Drone Pricing: Pricing aerial work is done on an individual basis and will take into consideration the complexity and needs of a shoot. Each aerial shoot requires planning, risk assessments, associated risks, location, permissions, equipment. All prices are agreed in advance for each shoot
Cost of a job: We are happy to talk through rates and requirement for a job and to help fit in with your schedule or need
